Specialist grit blasting and sprayed concrete patch repairs have been undertaken to structural columns at Kincardine Tower as part of ongoing maintenance works.

The works are being carried out in a marine environment, with access provided via scaffolding and activities carefully planned around tidal conditions. Surface and steel preparation was completed using grit blasting to remove deteriorated material and provide a suitable substrate, followed by sprayed concrete repairs to reinstate the structural integrity and durability of the columns.

Given the tidal location detailed planning has been required to coordinate safe access, sequencing of works and environmental controls.

The works form part of a wider programme of maintenance aimed at extending the service life of the tower and ensuring continued structural performance in a challenging marine setting.
